Jacques de Beaune’ Association

A historical spectacle

Born in 1989, the initiative of a live show in Semblançay quickly brought together the talents and enthusiasm of participants from nearby towns for the first few years, then from all over Touraine. At the creation, the theme was limited to the French Revolution, but from the summer of 1990, the canvas was close to that of the current show. The growth of the association’s membership is constant: the number of members is around 600 each year.

The association Jacques de Beaune benefits from many supports and in particular from the personalities of the show who lent their voice.

A historic site

The Scénoféerie, Son et Lumières de Semblançay takes place in the park of the La Source association, with the Logis de Jacques de Beaune in the background.
The La Source Association was born in 1966 from the will of several parents of disabled children who encountered the same difficulties, and who decided to come together to act together.
Their objective was to create establishments:
Places of reception adapted to the handicaps of their children.
Medico-social structures providing care, animation, education, schooling and vocational training.
In addition, these establishments had to obtain the recognition of the public authorities and the approvals in order to benefit from the financing provided for by law.
The tacit contract which bound the members, imposed on the Association the sustainability of the care of their children, if necessary, by the creation of the establishments and services necessary to the satisfaction of this objective.
